Aletha Hawkins Jones, 94, of Paulding, MS died Friday, October 28, 2016 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. She was born Tuesday, March 14, 1922 in Paulding, MS.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Paulding with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Father Joseph Dyer will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601)764-2181
She is preceded in death by her parents Monroe and Veronica Hawkins, husband - Floyd Jones, husband - Wallace Allgood; sons - Hershel Allgood and Jerry Allgood; granddaughter Rebecca Anderson; and her sisters and brothers.
Survivors include daughters - Myra Anderson (Johnny), Stringer, MS, Marsha Currie (Cliff), Raleigh, MS; son - Randall Allgood (Barbara), Fairhope, AL; special nephew Bob Jeffus (Denise), Citronelle, AL; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Daniel Anderson, Shawn Seymour, Ryan Moore, Mackenzie Moore, Cole Currie, Justin Jeffus.
