Amie Sue Hammonds Adkins, 82, of Meridian, MS died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Bedford Care Center of Marion, MS . She was born Thursday, September 12, 1935 in Pineville, MS.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 24, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Edon Baptist Church in Stringer, MS. Burial will follow in Edon Cemetery in Stringer, MS. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Calvin Hammonds, mother, Myrtis Hammonds, great-grand child, Asher Holt, sisters; Ruby Waterloo, Maxine Lancaster, Earnestine Husband, twin sister, Betty Wilkerson Houston, brothers, Claiborne Hammonds, Darryl Hammonds.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Dr. Loyd Hueston Adkins, Meridian, MS, sons; Landry Adkins (Fay), Meridian, MS, Jesse Tullos Adkins (Danna), Humble, TX, Joseph Bradford Adkins (Kim), Richmond, TX, grand children; Jessica Holt (Jason), Justin Adkins, Kristen Sparks (Bradley), Brianna Adkins, Chase Adkins, great-grand children; Harley Sparks and Berkeley Sparks.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Grandsons-in-law.
