Annie Roberta 'Aunt Bert' Bishop Hendry, 91, of Bay Springs, MS died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, MS. She was born Tuesday, May 26, 1925 in Louin, MS.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, MS. Burial will follow in Walters Chapel Cemetery in Bay Springs, MS. Bro. Dwayne Windham and Bro. Charles Davis will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601)764-2181

Roberta graduated from Antioch School in1944. She was a window dresser at J.C. Penny during World War II, a licensed beautician in earlier years, a very dedicated wife of 65 years to her husband Paschal and very active in the life of her daughter and grand daughters. She and her husband were involved in church and community activities like fish fries at the camp house on the creek bank.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Byron Paschal Hendry, parents, Tom Armstrong Bishop and Mary Unity Bishop, son, Robert Hendry, sisters, Ruth Norton and Lexie Pugh.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Hendry Dunn (Harold), Toomsuba, grand children, Shelia Luquire, Dana Bythewood (Brent), Cheryl Stark (Adam), great-grand children, Ryan Edwards, Savannah Bythewood and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
