Beatrice W. O'Bannon, 98, of Granbury, TX, died Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Jasper County Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, July 23, 1919 in Montrose, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Decedar Baptist Church Cemetery with burial to follow.  The Hon. Judge Marvin Jones will officiate.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

"Aunt Bea" as she was known to her family and friends was a kind and loving person.  She never met a stranger and always greeted people with a smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lee Weed and Victoria Lenora Weed; husband, Francois "Frank" Y. Obannon; siblngs, Dicey Naomi "Oma" Weed, Mary Delma "Mollie" Weed, Hattie Matilda Weed, Walter Edward Weed, Vernice Cicero Weed, Ethel Earnestine Weed and William Marion Weed.

Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
