Benjamin Todd James

Benjamin "Benji" Todd James of Brandon, Mississippi passed away December 24, 2024, in Sylvarena, Mississippi. He was born February 1, 1975, in Columbus, Mississippi, to Wendy Kennedy Naron and John Phillip James.

He attended Raleigh High School, Jones County Junior College, and Mississippi State University. He was employed by Crossroads of the South.

Benji was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Windell Kennedy of Raleigh, Mississippi, and paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Grady James of Sylvarena, Mississippi.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather Wendy Kennedy Naron (Parker) of Brandon, father and stepmother John James (Maria) of Bossier City, Louisiana, sister and brother-in-law Robbie James Barnes (Johnny) of Flowood, Mississippi, brother Matthew Little (Avie De Asis) of Maui, Hawaii, half-brother, Dustin Luther James of Bozier City, LA; nephews Barrett Barnes and Brady Barnes, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Benji enjoyed spending time outdoors, working with his hands, and helping anyone he could. Spreading love and laughter wherever he went, he will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and unbreakable spirit. He had immense love for his family and friends, and leaves behind a legacy of precious memories.

A visitation will be held at Sylvarena Baptist Church, 28527 Hwy 18, in Sylvarena, Mississippi at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024, with a funeral service at 12:00 o'clock noon. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Bethany Cemetery in Sylvarena, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.  601-764-2181
