On Saturday, September 2, 2023, Bernice Ishee Green left this earth and began eternity in heaven.  Bernice was born in Louin, Mississippi on July 27, 1934, where she attended Louin school, met and later married M. B. Green.  They shared 71 ½ happy years prior to Mr. Green's passing last year.

After retiring from working in a variety of roles at Jasper General Hospital, Bernice enjoyed many hobbies including painting, quilting, gardening, and cooking for everyone who visited her home.  She dearly loved Berean Bible Church and her church family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marshall Breland Green and a cherished son, George Stephen Green; parents, George C. and Mabel Ishee; brothers,  George Darrel Ishee (Joyce), Paul Ishee, and Stanley Ishee.

She is survived by siblings,  Judy Lisiewski (Tom) and Dan Ishee (Linda); sisters-in-law,  Wynette Ishee and Auzlia Ishee; her children, Michael B. Green (Kathy), Deborah Green, Karen Crosslin (Tommy), Marsha Lay (Keith), Beverly Alexander (Joe), and Shelley Jordan (Barry); her grandchildren, Shane Hand (Jessica), Bryan Hand, Stephen Hand, Sharee Hayes, Ashley Dale (Connely), Thomas Crosslin (Ursula), Adam Crosslin (Sandra), Allison Anderson (Brad), Jessica Lohmeier (Jeffrey), Laura Johnson (Seth), Ellen Lay, Lukas Tubb (Leigh Ann), Katye Hill (Jeremy), Joe Frank Alexander (Holly), Elliott Alexander (Bayley), Jill Jordan (Adam), Meredith Potter, Molly Malone (Austin), and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm at  Berean Bible Church,  385 Hwy. 528, Bay Springs, Mississippi 39422.
