Betty Jo Hodges, 81, of Raleigh, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Jasper County Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, May 30, 1940 in Sylvarena, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with burial to follow. Betty fought a long battle with dementia. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends. She was very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene A. Hodges, parents, Joe and Minnie Bell Rogers, son, Robert Hodges, grandson, Isaac Hodges, brother, Sonny Matthews, sister, Barbara Thornton.

Survivors include her sons, Karl Hodges (Celesta), Jimmy Hodges (Gwen), 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, brother, Joe Edward Rogers (Glenda), sisters, Martha Jean Dice (Bobby), Sarah Lentz (Bob), Virginia Sanders (Thomas).

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
