Betty was a native of Jasper County Mississippi. In 1966 she moved with her family from Huntsville,

Alabama to Pearl River County making a home and chasing five children. In 1972 she moved to

Carriere. In the 70's and 80's she worked for the Picayune Item and later Mississippi Power where she

retired.

About 1970 She and Dad became a member of The Gideons International in Picayune. Over the years

mother and dad provided thousands of Bibles and Testaments to people around the world. She became

a Pastor's wife in 1985 upon Dad's retirement. She was a pastor's wife planting and serving at

Hillcrest Baptist Church in Carriere, West Poplarville Baptist Church, Oak Grove Baptist Church in

Northwest Florida and finally moving home to Bay Springs and serving at Ted Baptist Church in Sylvarena

people. At death Betty was an Auxiliary member of the Pearl Gideon Camp while living in Brandon

Mississippi at Chateau Pines Assisted Lliving. She was a member of Bay Springs Methodist Church and

the American Legion of Bay Springs.

Mom was a quiet soul, who loved her children and especially grands and greats; but, she often became

mischievous and had a sense of humor that evoked laughter with those around her. Betty was a

Proverbs 31 wife and mother-- "Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he

praises her, Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."

Her heart was broken when her husband Donald died. She will be buried by him and next to her mother,

father, and brother in the Bay Springs Cemetery.
