Billy Lawayne Richardson, aged 83, of Louin, MS, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Born on November 2, 1941, Billy lived a fulfilling life, cherishing time with his family and embracing the joys of farm life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1964.

After his military service, Billy worked as a diesel mechanic for many years, a profession he was passionate about. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, known for his contentment and love for life.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, C.B. and Annie Lee Richardson, his brother Lee Earl Richardson, and his brother-in-law Keith Thornton. He is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years, Judy Richardson, and his children: Loyd Richardson (Sonya), Robert Richardson (Christy), John McDevitt (Miwako), and Elizabeth Nichols. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Blake Richardson, Camden Richardson, Justin Richardson, Melanie Richardson, Skylar Nichols, Abby Nichols, Dylan Meaders, Alisha McDevitt, and Aimee McDevitt, as well as his sisters Gracie Daniel (Billy) and Linda Thornton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Colonial Chapel of Bay Springs at 1:00 PM, followed by funeral services officiated by Brother Danny Dickerson at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Leaf River Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs.
