Bobbie B. Grayson
(August 29, 1937 – May 15, 2025)

Bobbie B. Grayson, aged 87, of Raleigh, MS, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Born on August 29, 1937, in Raleigh, Mississippi, she was a cherished member of the community and a devoted member of Salem Baptist Church and Sardis Baptist Church.

Bobbie was a 1955 graduate of Raleigh High School. She married the love of her life, James Milton Grayson, on February 18, 1956. Her career included roles as an insurance agent and secretary, but her true passion was working at Tadlock Stockyard, where she was affectionately known as "Mrs. Bobbie."

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Bobbie enjoyed cooking, cleaning, traveling to the mountains, and was a counselor and caregiver to her family, lovingly known as Granny/GEE GEE. She was the caretaker of their dreams and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Bobbie is survived by her son, Anthony Grayson (Lisa); daughter, Lynne Grayson; grandchildren, Amber Grayson Godbey, Hope Grayson Eason (Michael), Michael Grayson, Ashley Jenkins, and Alison Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Tanner Grayson (Kerigan Tebo), Anna Lauryn Grayson, Tyler Grayson, Eli Eason, Emmilyn Eason, Hayden Pippin, and Meilani Jernigan; great-great-grandson, Holden Grayson; brother, Paul Blakeney (Audrey); and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Milton Grayson; father, Summerfield Blakeney; mother, Onnie McWilliams Blakeney; sister, Billie Blakeney Stanley; and son-in-law, Martin Jenkins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Salem Baptist Church, Hwy 540, Raleigh, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the same location, with a private burial in Grayson Family Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. Anthony Grayson and Bro. Stevie Hand will officiate, with special music by Mrs. Betty Tadlock. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh.

Pallbearers will be Dale Hester, Rodney Hester, Danny Arender, Michael Thornton, Kevin Stringer, Tanner Grayson, Hayden Pippin, Jonathan Traxler, Haedyn McNeil, and Eli Eason.

Honorary pallbearers will be The Tadlock Stockyard Family.
