Carl G. Grant, age 64, of Raleigh, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday September 17, 2020 at Wesley Merit Health in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, November 10, 1955 in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

There will be a private family visitation.   Graveside Service will be held Monday, September 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Jesus Name House of Prayer Cemetery.  Bro. Bill Walker and Bro. Davy Hammons will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

Carl was an avid Ole Miss Football fan. He loved fishing, and sitting on front porch drinking tea, and talking with family and friends. He was loved by everyone who met and knew him.  He loved to have fun with all of his family friends. He was a wonderful husband, grandfather, dad, and friend to all he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Ernestine Grant, his sister Shelby Riley.

Survivors include his daughter Carla (Michael) Thornton, his wife Anita Grant, his brother Shane (Sherry) Grant, his granddaughters Desiney Thornton and Allie Thornton, his grandson Tyler Thornton.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Thornton, Austin Grant, Sam Grant, Josh Grant, Jody Pierce, and Luke Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rudolph Craft.
