Obituary

Cedric Everett Floyd, 77, of Montrose, Mississippi, died Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Montrose, Mississippi. He was born Thursday, September 23, 1943 in Brookhaven, Mississippi.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Bro. Robby Johnson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

Cedric was dedicated to the core, to his family first and second to the oil industry and those therein. He was greatly respected and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Quenton Eli and Mildred Floyd, siblings, Houston Floyd, Quenton Floyd Jr., Ervin Floyd and Carlyn Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Kay Johnson Floyd, children, Todd Floyd (Mary), Annette Graybiel, Jennifer Riggs (Doug), grandchildren, T.J., Cory (Sherry) and Michael Floyd, Emily Morales (Antonio), Jessica Thompson (Hunter), Jacob Richie, Dakota (Rebecca), Justice and Ivy Horn, Noah and Joey Riggs (Candace), great-grandchildren, Anya Floyd, Everett Salts, Erin and Cecilia Thompson, Stella-Gray and Grace-Lynn Kay Richie, Danny and Jackson Horn, Jacob, Ellie and Aiden Riggs, brother, Charlie Floyd (Janine).
