Charlotte Phillips, age 89, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, under the professional care of the Jasper General Nursing Home.

Private services will be held in the presence of immediate family members at Antioch Baptist Cemetery in Jasper County.

Charlotte was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas to her parents, J.B. and Hazel Newcomb. She graduated from high school there, and relocated to Houston, Texas to work with M.D. Anderson Hospital as a radiologist. She met the love of her life, William E. "Bo" Phillips, and were married for 57 years at his passing. The Phillips moved to his home state of Mississippi and began a family. They had a dairy farm in the Antioch community, and then Mrs. Phillips went to work for the state of Mississippi with the Mississippi Regional Housing Authority. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings, one daughter-in-law, Cindy Phillips, and her husband, Bo Phillips.

Survivors include two children, Perry Beau Phillips of Louin and Robin Campbell (Edward) of Vicksburg; two sisters, Carolyn Taylor of Arab, AL and Doris Jean Bottorff of Aberdeen; two grandchildren, Kristin Phillips and Cody Phillips; six great-grandchildren, Kaylee Overstreet ((Hunter), Collyn Harvey, Cody Boleware, Sonny Boleware, Ian Phillips and Drew Phillips; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express with sincere appreciation the staff, doctors and nurses of Jasper General Nursing Home for their love and care for Mrs. Phillips over the past year.
