Her only grandson, Ben, was known to be her favorite grandson. At any time of day or night, she would pat out a pan of biscuits at his request.
Had her health allowed, her only great-great grandchild, Greyson, would have been spoiled and taught about cowboy justice. She always had rowdy young cowboys, and sassy little girls under her feet in the kitchen. She would alternate between spanking and hugging, all while making their favorite foods.
Mama, Mother, Mamaw, you answered to them all. You lived and sacrificed a lot for us. We will always hear your voice as you stood over a hot stove cooking for the holidays. "I'm not doing this next year; I'll be in Hawaii, so somebody better learn to make dressing!" We will miss you so much until we see you again. We do not believe you will have to pick cotton in Heaven.
What joy awaits you, Mama. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning" Psalm 30:5
