Cynthia was born on June 3, 1959 in Bastrop, Louisiana to Charlie and Sybil Walters. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend to so many people. She was gifted in art where she took it up and taught it at Bay Springs Elementary and drove a bus. Every child she interacted with was treated like her own children to where if we were in public, children she taught always called her Mrs. Cindy or mom and hugged her.

She was also a CNA at Jasper General Nursing Home, where she took great pride in what she did, taking care of people's loved ones and loved every aspect of her job.

She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and she had a gift from God to sing praise to The Lord.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Walters and her stepfather, Tillman Read.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Perry Beau Phillips; her two children, Kristin Phillips, and Cody Phillips; her mother, Sybil Read; her brother, Chuck Walters (Lisa) her six grandchildren, Kaylee Moss, Collyn Harvey, Cody Boleware, Sonny Boleware, Ian Phillips, and Drew Phillips, a host of nieces and nephews, and her two beloved fur babies, Taz and Tess.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church at 10:00, with funeral services to begin at 11:00. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Donald Jefcoat, Barry Jordan, Edward Campbell, Seth Walters, Bruce Pilgrim, and Austin Wade.
