Dale Dykes, 70, of Laurel, MS died Thursday, June 01, 2017 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Saturday, October 12, 1946 in Jones County, MS.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 04, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Dykes Cemetery in Stringer, MS. Burial will follow in Dykes Cemetery in Stringer, MS. Bro. John Bowen and Bro. Stanley Doggett will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601)764-2181

Dale enjoyed life to the fullest, he was loved by everyone. He loved his family but loved God most of all. He spent his days doing what he wanted to do even up to the end, working on tractors and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his father, Elbert Lee Dykes, mother, Erma Lee Dykes, son, Michael Dale Dykes, daughter, Kimberly Renee Ratcliff, daughter, Jennifer Nadean Dykes, brother, Hollis Wayne Dykes, brother, Don Dykes, brother, Joseph Lee Dykes.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joanne Dykes, Laurel, MS, grand children, Kayla Michelle Ratcliff, April Lynn Ratcliff, great-grand children, Lara Lynn Matthews, Triniti Joanne Matthews, sister, Patsy Geraldine Nichols (Ray), Bay Springs, MS, sister, Lana Joy Chisholm (Jerald), Stringer, MS, mother-in-law, Dean Knight of Laurel, MS.

Pallbearers will be Robert Anderson, Jamie Chisholm, Steve Scales, Jerald Chisholm, Keith Dykes, Rex Nicholson, Mike Nicholson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Dykes, Jonathan Davis.
