David Alex Parker, 68, of Stringer, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020, at his home. He was born Wednesday, July 9, 1952 in Jasper County.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs with visitation prior to service. Burial will follow in Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Stanley Doggett will officiate. Social distancing and face mask/coverings encouraged. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Virginia Parker and one brother, Jimmy Parker.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Parker; children, Jason Parker (Kimberly), Brian R. Parker (Apryl), Carrie Carr (Jason), and Chris Moore (Jenny); 14 grandchildren, Lauren Ainsworth (Corbin), Rebecca Parker, Gracie Parker, Ashley Parker, Hannah Parker, Trevor Parker, Jase Peterson, Kylie Peterson, Rylea Moore, Collin Moore, Shepherd Moore, Mallorie Harris, Delayna Harris, and Kinson Hearn; sisters, Martha Sims (Billy) and Charlotte Sanderson (Chris); and a sister-in-law, Susan Parker Stringer (Kevin).

Pallbearers will be Chris Sims, Scott Sims, Cole Avera, Micah Sanderson, Nathan Dykes, and Cory Tucker.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Collin Moore, Kinson Hearn, Trevor Parker, Shepherd Moore, and Jase Peterson.
