David Junior Smith, 85, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, died Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at his home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. He was born Sunday, June 7, 1936, in Smith County Mississippi.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021, from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Funeral Services will be follow at 4:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will be in Bay Springs City Cemetery. Bro. Darrell Craft will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Eva Smith; great-grandchildren, Whitton Ervin and Brently Gage Smith; two brothers, Richard Rudolph Smith and Fred Thomas Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Smith; children, Kaye Broadway, Diane Rayner (Jerry), and David Smith (Rita); grandchildren, Shiloh Harris (Alan Ervin), Brannon Harris (Julie), Tony Rayner (Raven), Aleshia Wallace (Jason), Timothy Smith (Tawanna), and Tiffany Sharpley (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Amado Pimentel, Gilbert Pimentel, Levi Rayner, Preston Rayner, Eva Jewel Harris, Tristan Harris, and Alex Wallace; great-great-grandchildren, Greysun Pimentel and Colton Pimentel; brothers, Charles Ray Smith, Jerry Evon Smith (Terri), and Lyndal Wayne Smith.

Pallbearers will be Tony Rayner, Brannon Harris, Timothy Smith, Jason Wallace, Skylar Sharpley, and Tyler Sharpley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Ervin and Roger Smith.
