David Edward Winn, 70 of Louin, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Baptist Medical Center of Columbus.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Louin. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 4:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Louin. Burial will follow in Louin Cemetery. Bro. Keith Ulmer will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Winn was born in South Carolina and grew up in Pensacola, Florida. He was a graduate of Woodham High School and attended Southeastern Baptist College, where he met his late wife, Glenda. He was a retired employee of Georgia Pacific, Inc., where he was a millwright. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Louin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Grayson Winn; son, Brad Winn; father, George T. Winn; mother, Sadie Carter Winn; brother, Clyde Winn (Carolyn); sisters, Judy Parker, Barbara Boling (Ray) and Ann Mitchell (Mike); brother-in-law, Jimmy Grayson (Kim).
Survivors include his sons, Jody L. Winn (Pam) of Macon and Jamie Winn (Lindsey) of Brandon; brother, Tommy Winn (JoAnn) of Bryson City, N.C.; grandsons, Lane Winn (Allie), Walker Winn, Rhett Winn, Griffin Winn, and Rivers Winn; granddaughters, Lacie Stringer (Lee) and Laken Winn; great-grandsons, Jace Winn and Luke Stringer; a Godson, Ryan Mitchell (Sara); numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Rosamond Ward (George); sister-in-law, Rhonda Gough (Harold).
Pallbearers will be Lane Winn, Lee Stringer, Walker Winn, W.K. King, Ethan Brown, and Austin Knotts.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Ishee and Jim Carr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Seth Harris Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 1286, Bay Springs, MS 39422.
