Obituary

Dawana Kaye Leggett, 68, of Raleigh, Mississippi, died Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Friday, June 1, 1951 in Ontario, Canada.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Raleigh United Methodist Church in Raleigh, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Raleigh United Methodist Church. Pastor Tim Lott of All Seasons Worship Center will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. (601) 782-4544

Dawana was a member of All Seasons Worship Center in Forest, MS where she was a volunteer Greeter. She was well known for her passion for God, her love of family and friends, as well as her friendly smile and fun zeal for life. And on Fall Saturdays she could always be found rooting for her beloved Golden Eagles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Leggett, parents, Troy Edward Develin and George Dale Craft.

Survivors include her son, Noel Stringer (Melanie), daughter, Christine Perks (Jeremy), grandchildren, Grace and Will Stringer, Jett and Levi Perks, sister, Becky White (Art), nephew, Ken Nichols (Denise), great niece, Michelle Nichols (Jake Sherwood), great nephew, Jarren Sherwood, Stepsons: Mark Leggett (Jay-Tea), Johnny Leggett (Dana), Jody Leggett (Miranda). Step Daughter: Misty Franklin
