Donald Ray Blakeney, 84, of Jackson, MS went to be with his Lord, Friday, February 17, 2017 at VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born Friday, April 08, 1932 in Taylorsville, MS.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, MS. Bro. Michael Simpson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. (601) 782-4544

Mr. Blakeney loved his family very much. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and growing vegetables in his garden each year. He was loved greatly and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his Wife-Eleanor Blakeney; Parents - Lee and Eunice Blakeney and Sister - Jerri Dale Ainsworth.

Survivors include his Son - Ray Blakeney (Susan), Taylorsville, MS, Son - Larry Joe Blakeney, Mize, MS; Daughter - Rebecca Harrison (Greg), Jacksonville, Fl; Brothers - Fred Blakeney (Barbara), Mobile, Al, Harold Blakeney (Annie), Mobile, Al and Sister - Beverly Blakeney, Taylorsville, MS.
