Doris Cook Wilkins, 81, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, died Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest, Mississippi. She was born Sunday, July 3, 1938 in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Bay Springs City Cemetery and the burial will follow in Bay Springs City Cemetery. Bro. Andy Cotten will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed working in her yard, reading books, and working word puzzles. She was an active member at Bay Springs Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Wilkins; parents, Willie Ray and Lolene Meredith Cook; son, Kevin Brent Wilkins; sister, Polly Cargile.

Survivors include her son, Keith Wilkins (Renee); grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Wilkins, Kevin Brent Wilkins II, and Matthew Clinton Wilkins; sisters, Patti Carr (Bobby), Sheila Blackwell (Stanley), and Kerri Stringer.
