Edna Earle Moore Wolan, age 75, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 in New Orleans, LA. She was born Sunday, July 20, 1941 in Smith County, MS and lived in New Orleans from 1964 to 2017.

She retired in 2007 after 38 years in nursing at Ochsner Hospital. After retirement, she remained very active volunteering with local charities in the New Orleans area to include the Covenant House serving homeless youth. Edna devoted her life to Christ, family, and friends. She will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Wolan, daughter in law Rachel Wolan, grandchildren, Victoria, Julianna, and Joshua Wolan who reside in Virginia. Her brother William (Sonny) Steele (Joy). Edna is also survived by numerous loving cousins, nieces, great-nephew and great-niece. She is also survived by very dear friends and co-workers from Ochsner Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her: parents, Percy C. Moore and Oneida Ford Moore Steele and Step-father, Clarence (Bob) Steele, and her husband John Joseph (Jay) Wolan.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, MS. Bro. Eddie Bryant will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601)764-2181.
