Effie L. Handy, 86 of Raleigh, MS passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Mississippi Care Center of Raleigh in Raleigh, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, May 8, 1937, in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 2:00PM at Merchants Cemetery in Raleigh, MS with burial to follow. Bro. Red Bowen will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Wayne Anderson; father, Pat Bowen; mother, Bertha Easterling Bowen and her 6- Brothers and Sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Alton Handy; son, Arthur Lewis (Melanie); daughter, Sheila Gore; grandchildren, Elijah Anderson, Tommy Lewis, Taylor Ann Lewis, Marissa Boykin, Miranda Boykin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
