Elbert Frankie "Buddha" Upton Jr., 64, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, died Monday, September 6, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, December 25, 1956 in Laurel, Mississippi.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with burial to follow. Bro. Gregg Bennett will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert F. Upton, paternal grandparents, Robert Lee and Vivian Upton, maternal grandparents, Deavours and Beatrice Brady, nephew, Breland Boykin.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Judy Creel Upton, son, Elbert F. "Hank" Upton III (Paulina), mother, Bonnie Sue Upton, sisters, Doris Boykin Ingram, Kathy Patterson, nieces, Shelley Boykin Bradshaw (Gaylon), Alison Williams (Mason), nephew, Brance Boykin (Cisly) and a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Anderson, Troy Dykes, Tim Hall, William Mangum, Steven Mitchell, and Scott Smith.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seth Harris Childhood Cancer Foundation in Frankie's name.
