Elizabeth (Bette) LaRochelle Craft
(September 25, 1936 – March 14, 2025)

Elizabeth LaRochelle Craft, affectionately known as Bette or Nanny by her kids and grandkids, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 25, 1936, in Bowdoinham, Maine, she was the cherished daughter of Edward and Lela LaRochelle.

Bette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.

Bette was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Thomas Craft, Sr.; a sister, Hilda Ryder; her brother, Neil LaRochelle, Sr.; and her great-grandson, Tyler Stafford.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughter, Judy Moore and her husband Steve of Biloxi, MS; her son, Tommy Craft and his wife Melonie of Saucier, MS; and her grandchildren Stephanie Stafford of Biloxi, MS, Matthew Moore and his wife Melanie of Brandon, MS, Alexis Craft of Saucier, MS, and Nick Craft of Saucier, MS; her great-grandchildren, Austin Stafford (Hanna) of Biloxi, MS, Coty Stafford of Biloxi, MS, and Mary Beth, Caroline, and Davis Tharp of Brandon, MS, will continue to carry her memory forward.  Bette's sister, Gail Bridgeham, and her husband Cliff of Glenburn, ME, along with many nieces and nephews, will also cherish her memory.

Bette's life was filled with simple joys, such as knitting, caring for her chickens, and gardening, which brought her immense happiness.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Double Church in Raleigh, MS. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with Bro. Bobby Davis officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh.

Bette will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Moore, Austin Stafford, Coty Stafford, Nick Craft, Jimmy Moore, and Jim Dahl.
