On September 5, 1958, a redheaded fury was loosed upon the world. Born in Jackson, Miss., to Jerry and Nicki Yeager, Beth was an immediate delight (and occasional terror) to her parents and siblings. As a young girl, she was mischievous and precocious in equal measure. She gained the affection and adoration of those who knew her and loved her. In high school she cheered, played in the band, and twirled flaming batons on Friday night football fields. She was an initiated member of the Chi Delta Chapter of the Chi Omega Fraternity, and was named Raleigh's Miss Hospitality.

After completing a bachelor's degree with honors in nutrition from the University of Southern Mississippi, she would go on to serve as a dedicated public health worker and registered dietitian. Years later, while working full-time and simultaneously adjusting to the challenges of dialysis, she graduated magna cum laude from Southern Miss with a master's degree in public health administration. In 2014, she was named State Nutrition Director for the Mississippi WIC Program, and received the honor of being named State Dietitian of the Year for the MS Department of Health. Beth retired in 2018, after 38 years of service to the State of Mississippi.

She was the most dedicated, loving wife and mother to those who gave her those titles. Loved, admired, and respected by the children she raised, she gave them an abundance of unconditional love and never hesitated to provide her unwavering perspective of the blessings in all their lives. She remains the light of their lives. She provided a wealth of affection, laughter, and treasured memories to everyone she loved.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry L. Yeager; father- in-law, Gerald Crumpton; grandparents,  Jim Eaton Cargile, Gertrude Nichols Cargile, Odell Yeager, Merle Yeager Craft, and B.J. Craft.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Keith Crumpton; children, Andy Crumpton, Brooke Crumpton, and Catherine Wicker (Keaton); grandson, Bennett Wicker; mother, Nicki Yeager; sister, Karen Gorham; brother, Dr. Douglas Yeager; mother- in-law, Betty Nygren.

Pallbearers will be Allen Burrows, Miles Butler, Jeff Moss, Nathan Parsons, Frederick Grant, and Rupert Tullos.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beth's name to the Chi Omega Foundation and the Mississippi Kidney Foundation .
