Ella Louise Stringer, 88 of Raleigh, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Raleigh. Dr. Danny Dickerson will officiate.

Mrs. Stringer was a native and lifelong resident of Smith County. She was a Christian by faith and attended First Baptist Church of Raleigh as long as her health permitted. She will be missed by her friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Stringer;  daughter, Belinda Sims; two grandsons, Cody Stringer and Blake Powell; her parents, Dude Blackwell and Ella Blackwell; all of her siblings also precede her in death.

Survivors include her son, Timmy Stringer (Susan) of Louin;  daughter, Amanda McDonald of Raleigh;  grandsons, Greg McDonald (Ashley),  Kyle McDonald (Kayla),Dakota Stringer and Jake Sims (Courtney);  granddaughters, April Graham (Woody) and Lacey Wade (Ben);  great grandchildren, Adalyn Graham, Abigail McDonald, Cannon Wade, Livy Wade, Adelaide Stringer and Brylen Powell and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Greg McDonald, Kyle McDonald, Dakota Stringer, Jake Sims, Brylen Powell, and Donald Boykin.
