Ernestine Hawkins Windham age 81 of Bay Springs, Mississippi went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 24, 2016. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bay Springs and attended Antioch Baptist Church. Ernestine was born on December 20, 1934 in Jasper County, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Lelia Downs Hawkins, her husband Cleveland Windham, a son Barry Windham, her sister Moline James and her brothers Bobby Hawkins, Joe Nell Carter, and Thurman Hawkins. Ernestine leaves behind two sons Jimmy Evans and daughter in law Betty Sue of Bay Springs; son Tom Evans and daughter in law Tracie of Johnson City, Tennessee; and daughter Debbie Windham of Jackson. Also left to cherish her memory are four grand children Brook Street and husband David, Samantha Oliver and husband Wesley, Matthew Evans, Tucker Evans and four great grand children. She also leaves behind a very special niece that she loved like a daughter, Diane Clime of Ruskin, Florida.

Graveside services to honor Ernestine will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery at 4:00 PM with Brother James Sprayberry officating.

Service will be conducted under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs.
