Obituary

Ethel Mae Blakeney, 79, of Raleigh, Mississippi, died Monday, December 28, 2020 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. She was born Monday, January 27, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh, Mississippi. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Liberty (Bezer) Baptist Church Cemetery Bro. David Hays and Bro. Keith Ramage will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. (601) 782-4544

MS Ethel was employed with Smith County School Systems for 23 years and loved her children and her teachers. She was a feisty lady.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Blakeney, father, William Brinson Humpheys, mother, Daisy Mae Chism, sister, Barbara Ann Ishee, step-brother, Jerry Chism.

Survivors include her daughters, Michele Boyd (Donald Ray), Letitia Maness (Bruce), grandchild, Bridget Graham, great-grandchildren, Autumn Maness, Hunter Graham, Fisher Graham, Sky Miller, step-brother, Steven Chism (Sherry), sister-in-law, Frankie Blakeney, niece, Vicky Westbrooks (Randy) and nephew, Brian Lewis (Jamie), wonderful family friend, Roger Dale Rhodes.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Graham, Fisher Graham, Jude Graham, Matt Hardin, Jonathan Robertson, David Miller, and Red Easterling.
