Funeral services for James Evan Webb will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Raleigh. Interment will be at Leaf River Baptist Cemetery in Louin under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at First Baptist Church, and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
Mr. Webb, 42, of Raleigh, who passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the University Medical Center of New Orleans.
Evan was a longtime resident of Smith County, moving from childhood days in Jackson. He attended Raleigh High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Raleigh. He was an employee of J & H Construction, Inc. in Sylvarena. He loved his family and spending time with them, had a strong love for God, and was a hard worker who enjoyed helping others. Favorite pass times were spent on the water and in lakes and ponds, fishing. He had a strong passion in ministry for the areas of recovery and rehabilitation agencies, with a desire for others to know that no one is beyond the salvation offered by Jesus Christ. His legacy of faith will live on in the lives of others for generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his grandchild, Matthew Able; his paternal grandparents: James Lamar Webb, Sr. and Eunave Craft Webb and his maternal grandparents: Samuel Thomas Yates and Mary Yates Lemon.
Survivors include his wife: Jennifer Denise Bruce Webb; two daughters: Amber Nicole Webb of Seminary and Haley Leanne Webb; two step-sons: Jessie Maas and Isaiah Bruce; two step-daughters: Holly Maas and Megan Maas; his parents: James Lamar and Robbin Annette Yates Webb; one brother, Chad Parish (Kathleen); two sisters, Rani Bunkley (Dustin) and Traci Thompson (Perry); three nieces and three nephews also survive.
