F. M. Pilgrim, affectionately known as "The Shoe Man", 87, of Bay Springs, MS died Tuesday, October 03, 2017 at Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, MS. He was born Saturday, September 20, 1930 in Bay Springs, MS.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 04, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 05, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Burial will follow in Edon Cemetery in Stringer, MS. Bro. Mr. Pilgrim was a Korean War Veteran where he served in the Navy. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bay Springs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin Pilgrim and Francis Florence Pilgrim; wife, Kathleen Pilgrim; son, James Randall Pilgrim; daughter, Myra Lorraine Bragg; brothers, James Lawrence Pilgrim, Charles Ray Pilgrim, J.B. Pilgrim and Tim Pilgrim; sisters, Edith Mae Pitts, Tommie Ann Rawls and Dorothy McDonald; niece, Linda Kaye Hinton; and granddaughter, Lisa Renae Gray.

Survivors include his son, Manuel Pilgrim (Sharon), Florence, MS; grandchildren, Nicole Journagan, Stephanie Pilgrim and Jason Pilgrim (Marsha); great grandchildren, Jayla, Kathleen, Harley and Jameson; sister-in-law, Lena Pilgrim, Bay Springs, MS; a host of friends, nieces and nephews, including great and great-great.

Pallbearers will be Arnold Ray Pilgrim, Brian Pilgrim, Bruce Pilgrim, Colby Pilgrim, Perry Beau Phillips and Thomas Pitts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Morris Pitts, Dorothy Ann Prine, and Diane Spruill.
