Frances Lynn Carr Baldwin
(October 2, 1945 – February 7, 2025)

Frances Lynn Carr Baldwin, aged 79, of Raleigh, MS, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson, MS. Born on October 2, 1945, in Forest, Mississippi, Frances was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Frances was a graduate of Raleigh High School and furthered her education at East Central Community College and MUW. She dedicated her professional life as a legal secretary for Tullos & Tullos Law Firm in Raleigh. A devoted member of Salem Baptist Church in Raleigh, she played the piano for over fifty years, sharing her love for music with the congregation.

She cherished her family, enjoyed working with her plants, and took great joy in preparing meals for her family and friends.

Frances was married to Jerry Baldwin, the love of her life, for fifty-seven years. She cherished her time with family, enjoyed working with her plants, and was known for preparing meals for her loved ones. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Baldwin of Raleigh, MS; her sons, Joseph A. Baldwin (Monica) and Richard L. Baldwin (Angie), both of Raleigh, MS; her grandchildren, Heather Jackson, Faith Baldwin, Brett Baldwin, Brelynne Baldwin, Thaila Baldwin, Bradley Baldwin, Lauren Bonner, and Andrea Traxler; her great-grandchildren, Annie Jackson, Lane Phillipson, and Brodie Baldwin; and her sister, Barbara Ann Hathron of Columbia, MS. Frances was predeceased by her parents, Allen and Marie Dennis Carr, her brothers, James Allen Carr and Robert Gerald Carr, and her sisters, Billie Jean Goodson, Mary Carr, and Vida McKenzie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church in Hwy 540, Raleigh, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with burial in Baldwin Family Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. Anthony Grayson and Bro. Stevie Hand will officiate. Special music will be performed by Ms. Becky Bowen. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh.

Pallbearers will be Danny Arender, Donnie Arender, Jason Arender, Chris Thornton, Dale Hester, Rod Hester, and Scotty Traxler with honorary pallbearers Brodie Baldwin, Lane Phillipson, Brett Baldwin, and Brelynne Baldwin.
