Frank Gordon James, 84, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, passed away, Sunday, September 13, 2020, at Wesley Merit Health in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Sunday, May 31, 1936.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 20, 2020, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Bay Springs Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 PM at Bay Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery in Sylvarena. Bro Ed King will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Elizabeth James; son, Anthony Gordon James; sister, Martha Burgraaf; brother, John Allen James.

Survivors include his wife, Grace S. James; children, Sherri J. Mathis (Mark) and Thomas F. James (Lydia); grandchildren, Samuel Mathis, Benjamin Mathis, Jon-Mark Mathis, Gabriel Mathis, Jeremy Loop, Jessie Dombrowski, Killean Myers, Sierra Dombrowski, Savannah Dombrowski, Edwin Lee James, Grace Antoinette James, Thomas Gordon James, and Elijah Carlisle James; great-grandchildren, Bentley Allen Mathis, Camptyn Dean Mathis, Liberty Elle Mathis, Brayden Alexander Loop, and River Wayne Loop; sisters, Virginia Fann (William E.) and Mary Lou Lehman (Richard).

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Samuel Mathis, Jon-Mark Mathis, Gabriel Mathis, Benjamin Mathis, Jessie Dombrowski, Jeremy Loop, and Edwin Lee James.
