Obituary

Frankie Nell Tally Blakeney, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026. She was born on November 1, 1939, in Pineville, Mississippi, to Lex and Bertha Tally. On May 5, 1963, she married the love of her life, Sidney Earl Blakeney. Their 49 years of marriage began on an Army base in Hawaii, but they spent most of their years together in Pineville. Frankie is survived by her son, Thomas Earl Blakeney (Shana); three granddaughters, Sydney Blakeney, Caroline Blakeney, and Marissa White (Joe); and two great-granddaughters, Amelia and Ellie White. Also left to cherish her memory is a brother, Joe H. Tally (Linda) along with nieces, nephews and other extended family.

She was an honor graduate of Pineville High School and attended Jones Community College for two years, where she studied Business Education. Frankie was a member of Pineville Methodist Church, where she played the piano. She enjoyed Hallmark movies, never missed sending a card for every occasion, and had a gift for finding the most unique presents you never knew you needed. She will be remembered for her thoughtful nature, the little ways she made those around her feel loved, seen, and cared for, and the joy she found in cooking for her family, especially during the holidays.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM. Committal service will be held at 1:00 PM at MS Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181.
