Fred Allen Massey, 84, a long time Bay Springs resident and Air Force Veteran, died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Star, Mississippi. He was born Sunday, April 4, 1937 in Gadsden, Alabama.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Bay Springs City Cemetery with burial to follow. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollin Judson and Sadie Massey. Fred was fortunate enough to have loved twice in his life, first to Sarah Bonner Massey, and later to Jane McCurdy Massey. Brothers, Judson Massey, William Massey, Albert Massey, Orren Massey and James Massey.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandy Blackwell (Sonny), son, Keith Massey (Tina), stepson, John McCurdy (Betsy) and stepdaughter, Martha McCurdy. Grandchildren, Sydney Blackwell, James Massey (Andy), and many nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
