Gary Pittman Black, 74, of Brandon, MS, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in Jackson, Mississippi. Born on December 7, 1950, in Jackson, Mississippi, Gary was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

He is survived by his daughter, Brandy Black Herrington, and his grandchildren, Perry Herrington and Elizabeth Herrington. He also leaves behind his brother, James "Bo" Black, Jr. (Josie), and his sisters, Charlene Foshee, Ann Davis (Mike), and Bobbie Black, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, James Hamilton Black, Sr, and Nell Alexander Black, his sister, Jean Hulsman, and his brother-in-law, Bob Foshee.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel of Bay Springs. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Montrose Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs.
