Gary Ben Chisholm, 88, of Raleigh, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Forrest General Hospital. He was born January 21, 1938, in the Center Ridge community to Rev. Thomas Ben “TB” and Mattie Beatrice Hankins Chisholm.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh. Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 27 at 10:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh. Burial will follow in Old Bezer Cemetery. Bro Gary Wayne Phillips and Bro Reggie Chisholm will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Thomas Ben “TB” and Mattie Beatrice Chisholm; Loving wife Peggy Jo Chisholm, two daughters, Deborah "Debbie" Jo Chisholm and Regina Lynn Walters.

Survivors include children, Sonya Sullivan (Kevin), Stacy Kirby (Glenn), and Reggie Chisholm (Twyla); grandchildren, Josh Culp (Madison), Philip Chisholm (Courtney), Aaron Kirby (Yining), Randa Chisholm Poirier (Jack), Savannah Grace Walters, Audie Kirby (Sara), Ashton Kirby; great-grandchildren, Landon Culp, Lathan Culp, Levi Chisholm, Wiatt Chisholm, Josie Chisholm, Odeya Mae Poirier, Ezekiel “Zeke” Poirier; step-grandsons, Kyle Sullivan (Megan) and Dean Sullivan (Brittnee'); and step great-grandchildren, Kason Sullivan, Annie James Sullivan, Luke Sullivan, and Rachel Sullivan. Also left to cherish his memory is his loving sister, Dorothy “Dot” Pecoul, and special friends Mr. Edwin Tullos, Mr. Paul Crout and Mr. Mitchell Nichols.

Pallbearers will be Edward Chisholm, Josh Culp, Philip Chisholm, Ashton Kirby, Audie Kirby, Aaron Kirby. Honorary Pallbearer Andy “AJ” Guillory.
