Gary Lee 'Hip' Evans, 67, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, died Friday, November 22, 2019 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi. He was born Monday, November 3, 1952 in Creal Springs, Illinois.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, Mississippi. Graveside Services will be held Monday, November 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery and the Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Gary worked with the Shoemaker family for the last 12 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Evans.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Upton, children, Gary L. Evans Jr., Brad Evans, Pamela Evans, David Evans, Deanna Evans, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister, Linda Evans.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
