G C Downs, 95 of Bay Springs, MS passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at his residence in Bay Springs, MS. He was born Sunday, December 15, 1929 in Jasper County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Louin, Mississippi. Rev. Dwayne Windham and Bro. Stanley Downs will officiate. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Haden Downs; parents George and Bessie Gregory Downs; brothers, Elton Downs and Clemon Downs; sisters, Irene Penner and Martha Fisher.

Survivors include his sons, Jeff Downs (Sherry) of Bay Springs, MS and Stanley Downs (Martha) of Bay Springs, MS; grandchildren, Jeremiah Downs (Kayla), Tyler Downs (Harley), Heather Kinkead (Will), Chris Downs and Corey Downs; and 12 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Downs, Tyler Downs, Will Kinkead, Tad Downs, Rand Hicks, and Michael Bryant.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Downs.

Special music will be performed by Terry Pittman.
