Gene Elliott Windham, 81, of Louin, Mississippi, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at MS Care Center of Raleigh in Raleigh, Mississippi. He was born Sunday, September 19, 1937 in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 12:30 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs and the Burial will follow in Louin Cemetery. Bro. Ed King will officiate. Gene was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church. He was past Master of Masonic Lodge in Biloxi, MS. He enjoyed working with his employers in Bay Springs, MS, where he touched the lives of many. He loved people and was loved by others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilman and Iola Windham, brother, H. Laurin Windham, sister, Dianne Williams, daughter-in-law, Brandy Windham, granddaughter, Shasta Jordan.

Survivors include wife of 38 years, Evelyn Windham, son, Barry Windham, daughter, Sandra Smith (James), son, Paul Thigpen, grandchildren, Hayden, Peyton and Taylor Windham, Naomi Smith, Dillon and Savannah Thigpen, great-grandchildren, Olivia and Amanda Jordan, great-great-grandchild, OakLeigh Jordan, and sisters, Kay Chisholm and Wynette Ishee.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
