George Michael "Mike" Gandy, 73 of Mize, MS passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born Tuesday, August 2, 1949, in Raleigh, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 2:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh in Raleigh, MS. Burial will follow in Double Church Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. David Hayes will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181

Mike retired from the Air National Guard after 33 years of service and also retired from Howard Industries.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Earl Gandy, mother, Billie Frances Bankston Bryant, step-father, Kent Bryant.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Pamela Thompson Gandy, daughter, Alicia Bounds (Donald Eric), son, Jeremy Gandy, brother, Billy Earl Gandy (Reta), sisters, Frances McGrew (Andy), Emily Culliver (Neil), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Union Baptist Church or Double Church Cemetery  Maintenance Fund.
