George B. Sprouse, 75, of Stringer, MS died Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, MS. He was born Thursday, September 17, 1942 in Mississippi.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Burial will follow in Shelby Cemetery in Stringer, MS. Bro. Lee Yancey will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601)764-2181

George enjoyed woodworking, motorcycle riding, hunting, his biggest treasure was his family and the time he spent with them. He loved watching his grandchildren grow and excel at their school activities. He will be truly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, D.L. and Bessie Sprouse.

Survivors include his wife, Sara R. Sprouse; daughter, Candy Lofton (Steve) and son, Stephen Sprouse (Sybil); grandchild, Alisandra Lofton, Joseph Lofton and Taylor Sprouse; sister, Grace Fly and brother, Danny Sprouse (Lynne).

Pallbearers will be Ricky Ruffin, Keith Sims, Brian Parker, Brandon Hutchinson, Billy Rayner and Chris Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Charcot MARIE Tooth Association.
