George Stephen Green, (Steve), 67, of Louin, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2022. He was at home surrounded by family. Steve loved the Lord and was member of Berean Bible Church at Bay Springs.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Deborah Campbell Green; daughter Ashley Dale (Connely); grandchildren: Spencer Dale and Alaina Dale; mother, Bernice Green; brother, Mike Green (Kathy); sisters, Karen Crosslin (Tommy), Marsha Lay (Keith), Beverly Alexander (Joe), and Shelley Jordan (Barry); brother-in-law, Claude L. Campbell, Jr. (Sherry),  and his mother-in-law, Marjorie E. Campbell and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was truly loved by all who knew him.

He is proceeded in death by his beloved father, Marshall Breland Green; grandparents, Marshall Green and Ebbie Green Griffin and George C. and Mabel Ishee; and his father-in-law, Claude L. Campbell, Sr.

Steve was born in Newton on March 24, 1955, and has lived in Louin all his life. He was employed at Jasper General Hospital for 41 years and worked his way up from a purchasing clerk, to office manager, then eventually to Chief Financial Officer before retiring in 2019.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and coming up with things to design and build in his woodworking shop. To know Steve was to love him, and rarely was he seen without a smile on his face. Everyone who knew him shared a funny story or joke with him; he always brought a smile and a laugh to all he encountered. He welcomed everyone to his home and to his pool and made sure everyone had their swimming ticket to his house!

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 29, 2pm at Berean Bible church, Bay Springs MS.
