Geraldine D. Grayson, 84, of Collins, MS, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Landmark of Collins in Collins, Mississippi. She was born Sunday, March 17, 1940, in Homewood, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Louin in 1234 Hwy 15 N., Louin, MS with funeral services will be at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Louin City Cemetery in Louin, Mississippi. Rev. Keith Ulmer will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181

She retired from Mississippi Forestry Commission after 32 years of service. After the death of her husband, she moved to Landmark of Collins where many loved her and became like family to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Grayson; her infant daughter, Dana Buckley; her parents, Vester Derrick and Wilma Morehead Derrick; and her brothers, Ray Derrick and Jimmy Derrick.

Survivors include her daughters, Rose Smith (Charlie) Angela Clayton (Ronnie) and Beth Temple (Tommy); her grandchildren, Chelsi Coleman, Jason Clayton, Jennifer Clayton, Matthew Temple, Heather Beard, Jonathan Temple, and Reid Temple; and her great grandchildren, Riley Coleman, Stella Coleman, Harrison Clayton, Grant Clayton, Jayce Bailey, Preston Beard, Eli Temple, Ethan Temple, and Addison Temple.

Pallbearers will be Jason Clayton, Matthew Temple, Reid Temple, Jonathan Temple, Charlie Smith, and Justin Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Coleman, Ronnie Clayton, Tommy Temple, Eli Temple, Preston Beard, Harrison Clayton, Grant Clayton, Jayce Bailey, and Ethan Temple.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Louin.
