Glenn Ralph Drinkwine, 78, of Stringer, MS passed into the arms of his personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday March 17, 2026, in Ellisville, MS. Glenn was born at the Simmons Clinic in Bay Springs, MS on April 11, 1947, to his parents Ralph and Thelma Halford Drinkwine.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 20, 2026, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Colonial Chapel of Bay Springs.  Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm in the chapel with burial to follow at Fair Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Stringer, MS.  Bro. O.V. Cornell, Bro. Josh Chandler, and Bro. Tony Johnson will officiate.  Special music will be brought by Ryan Morris.

Survivors include his wonderful wife of 57 years, Joan Myers Drinkwine, a daughter, Buffy Morris and husband Ryan; son, Benji Drinkwine and wife Linda; grandchildren, Jackson Bowering, Gracie Drinkwine and Eli Drinkwine. He is also survived by a sister Arlene Brewer and her husband Neil, and a very special friend Larry Dykes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sylvia Hayden; and an infant baby brother Joseph Drinkwine.

Glenn served his country for a total of 33 years combined with the US Army and National Guard. During that time, he also served in the Vietnam Conflict earning several medals and commendations.  In his working years, he could be found in the oil fields. But later in life Glenn could be found at the ballfields watching and supporting his grandchildren in all their activities. Glenn was a family man that LOVED his family greatly.

Proud to serve as pallbearers will be Aaron Myers, Anthony Myers, Benji Drinkwine, Jackson Bowering, Ryan Morris and Drew Myers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Dykes, Pete Yelverton, Glen Myers, Keith Moss, and Austin Myers.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to Stringer Baptist Church.
