Gova Gerald Phillips, 83, of Louin, MS, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024, at his residence. He was born on Monday, September 9, 1940, in Louin, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in 22 E 4th Avenue, Bay Springs, MS with funeral services at 2:00PM.  Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Gova Gerald was known to very quiet but a very loyal person.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Otho and Eunice McNeil Phillips; his sister Georgia Ruth Crawley, and his brother James Earl Phillips.

Survivors include his son, Sam Phillips; daughter, Angy Buihner; granddaughter, Laken Siggeman, grandson, Phillip Buihner, and three great-grandchildren.
