Gwendolyn Ashley Bryant, 72, of Mize, MS, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. She was born Friday, May 30, 1952, in Jackson, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 9:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Union Baptist Church at 18959 Highway 35, Mize, MS with funeral services at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. David Hays will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. 6017642181

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Floyd Ashley and Willie Ruth Ashley.

Survivors include her husband, Rickey Bryant; children, Shawn (Jennifer) Bryant, Monica (Doug) Thornton; grandchildren, Morgan(Beau) Bettiga, Marley Thornton, Emma Grace Bryant, and Hayes Thornton; great-granddaughter, Alice Bettiga; sisters, Donna Shoemake and Colleen Butler, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stuart Dailey, Jeff Harrison, Doug Thornton, Matt Mangum, Justin Walley, Hayes Thornton, Beau Bettiga, and Dawson Pike.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richie Means, Wylee Derrick, Wyatt Fullington, and Davin Burch.
