Hancel Glen Young, 87, of Louin, MS passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, at his residence in Louin, MS. He was born Sunday, August 23, 1936, in Jones County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in 22 E 4th Avenue, Bay Springs, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 12:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Burial will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Bay Springs, MS. Bro. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Stokes Young; father, Ralph Young; mother, Bessie Archie Young; brother, Bobby Joe Young;

Survivors include his wife of 9 and a half years, Jean Davis McVea; sons, David Young and Robert Young; grandchildren, Jennifer Young and Kayla Saterfiel (Tony); brother, Haskel Young; great grandchildren, Levi Saterfiel, Kaleb Saterfiel and Brooklynn Saterfiel; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tony Saterfiel, Don Harris, Levi Saterfiel, Kaleb Saterfiel, Mark Coats and Travis Coats.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Blakeney and David Chambers.
