Hazel J. Edna Medlin, 85, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, died Saturday February 16, 2019 at Jasper County Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, March 2, 1933 in Soso, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs and the Burial will follow in Holders Methodist Church in Bay Springs, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years John S. Medlin: daughter, Shelia Diann Powell: mother, Dora Jean Grice; father, Genna Berry Grice; grandson, Justin Jones; granddaughter, Rose Powell; brothers, Walter Grice, O.B Grice and, Wade Grice; sisters, Tressie Waites, Trudie Quiney and, Lillie Johnson.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Lowe and Regina M. Medlin; grandchildren, Denise Boleware (Roy), Christopher Lowe (Lindsey), Tessa Eason (Jared), Joshua Jones, Austin Jones (Farrah), Genie Russell (Bruce), Wendell Powell (Amber), Samantha Dies (Q.T); 12 great grandchildren; A host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Joshua Jones, Austin Jones, Christopher Lowe, Roy Boleware, Jared Eason and, Wendell Powell.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Jones, Blair Lowe, Kirk Powell, David Lee Grice and, Ted Lowe
